Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation has pledged $15 million to support organizations tackling climate justice issues in the United States and the Caribbean. Recognizing the disproportionate impact of climate disasters on communities of color and island nations, Rihanna aims to prioritize both climate resilience and justice through this initiative. The funds will be awarded via grants to groups led by women, youth, Black, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and people of color, with a focus on accelerating climate justice for those most at risk.

The selected organizations, including the Black Feminist Fund, Climate Justice Alliance, and Indigenous Environmental Network, among others, will receive support to address various dimensions of emergency preparedness, from infrastructure hardening to gender-integrated emergency response planning.
